MISSION: Lancaster County E M S responds safely to the community with compassion to preserve life, improve health, and promote well-being.
|
- Provides out of hospital care to the people of Lancaster County 24 hours a day,
seven days a week from 7 stations.
- Responds to 12,000 calls per year.
- Paramedic on each ambulance.
- Trains and oversees 300 Medical First Responders who arrive quickly and begin treatment before
the arrival of EMS.
- Covers the "Panhandle" area of the county along with volunteers from Indian Land Rescue/EMS.
- Provides state-of-the-art treatment with 12/15 Lead EKG'S, Rapid Sequence Intubation, Autopulse, ResQPod, induced hypothermia, and Quick Response Vehicles
- STAR Team provides specialty rescue services such as extrication, water rescue, high-level rescue, etc.
- Bike Team provides coverage at festivals and other events.
