Adult Walking

Walking Indoors 
Hours for indoor walking during the school year are as follows: Springdale Rec. Center Mon-Fri 8:30-10:00 a.m. & Noon-2:00 p.m. During school closings or on 1/2 days, indoor walkers are welcome at SRC from 8:15-9:15 a.m.  Walkers may use our lighted outdoor track anytime. Indian Land Rec. Center Gym: Mon-Fri 8:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. During school closings or 1/2 days, indoor walkers are welcome at IL Rec Center from 8:00-10:00 a.m. Andrew Jackson Rec. Center Gym: Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. During school closings or 1/2 days, indoor walkers are welcome at AJ Rec Center from 8:30-10:00 a.m.  Buford Rec Center Gym is open for walkers Mon-Fri 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.  During school closings or 1/2 days, BRC Gym is open 12:00 a.m.-1:00 a.m.  Join our Walking club, and LCPR will keep tabs on the time or distance you walk. Aerobics

Aerobics
Springdale Recreation Center offers aerobics classes as follows:  Monday and Wednesday 5:45pm-6:45 pm with Marilyn Roddey.  Fee: $20 per month per person  Bring a mat or towel and work at your pace. Sign -up at class with instructor. 

Jazzercise
Jazzercise is offered at Indian Land Recreation Center on Saturdays from 9-10 a.m. Fee is $35 per month. Please register 15 minutes prior to any class. Class meets in the Senior Center. For more information, call (800) FIT-IS-IT or 803-396-7952.

Fitness Kickboxing

Now offered at Springdale Recreation Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m.  A full body Cardio Workout.  Excellent for getting into shape.  Endurance Building.  Stress Relief.  Confidence Building.  Self Defense. Fee is $35 per month.  Certified Instructor-Tonda Barber.

After School Program 

LCPR offers an after-school program Monday - Friday, from 2:00-6:00 pm on school days for grades K-6. We provide adult supervision, daily rates, homework time, free snack, play time,  crafts, and much more. Fee: $8.00/day - 1st child; $5/day - 2nd child; $5/day - 3rd child. For all-day program fees are $12/day - 1st child; $7/day - 2nd child; $5/day - 3rd child. Locations: Springdale Recreation Center, Indian Land Recreation Center, Andrew Jackson Recreation Center, Buford Recreation Center and Heath Springs Elementary. On teacher workdays, school holidays, and snow days, the program hours are 6:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. School bus transportation is available from North Elementary School. LCPR bus will pick up for minimal charge at: Clinton Elementary, Erwin Elementary, Brooklyn Springs and Discovery School.  If your child attends another after school program in an area in which we have transportation to our site, he/she will not be allowed to attend our all-day program when schools are closed for teacher workdays, holidays, or snow days. County Wide Basketball
Eligible for boys ages 7-15 and girls ages 7-12. Rookie, ages 7-8;

Small Fry, Mite, and Midget teams. Registration fees $45.   Dates, and

Open Gym Basketball 2010
During winter months, Sunday afternoon basketball is offered at Springdale, and Buford Recreation Centers as follows: 4-5pm for ages 12 & under, 5-6pm for middle and high school and 6-8pm for adults. Cost is $1.00 for high school and under and $3.00 for adults. For more information, call 803-285-5545. 

Teen Program
Friday Basketball for ages 10-15, 6:30-10p.m.  The cost is $3 per person.  Teens compete in 5 on 5, free throw, and  three point basketball.  Trophies are awarded last Friday of the month.  This program will end in April of each year and restart in September. For details, call 803-285-5545.

Camps

Summer Day Camp Program
LCPR offers a summer day camp for grades K-6.  (Children must be entering Kindergarten in the upcoming year or currently attending 1st-6th grades.)  This program is offered at: Springdale Recreation Center, 260 South Plantation Road, Lancaster, SC; Indian Land Recreation Center, 8286 Charlotte Highway, Indian Land, SC;  Andrew Jackson Recreation Center; 6354 North Matson Street, Kershaw, SC and Buford Recreation Center, 4073 Hurley Walters Rd, Lancaster, SC.  Camp hours are 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Camper brings bag lunch daily. Morning snack and afternoon snack are provided. Weekly activities include: arts/crafts, games, swimming, bowling, movies and field trips. All trips require additional fee. The non-refundable registration fee is $35 per family and will be credited to the child's attendance fees.  Enrollment is limited and will close when maximum capacity is reached.  For more information,

Dance Classes

Indian Land Recreation Center: Hip-Hop, Cheer Dance, Ballet, Jazz, Tap & Baton. Class fees are $35 per month for 1st class, $25 for 2nd class, $15 for 3rd class and 4th class is free.  There is a $25 registration fee.  Sibling discounts do apply. Ages 3 & up. Rentals

All LCPR Recreation Centers are available to rent for birthday parties, reunions, weddings or other special occasions. Smoking is not permitted inside the building, and alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the premises. We also have inflatable moonwalk, obstacle course & slide to rent for your party at Springdale Recreation Center, only. Call 803-285-5545 to book your party.

Lancaster Area Soccer Club
Age control date: January 1 of playing year. Try-out dates to be announced (usually in August). The Lancaster area soccer club holds tryouts and selects classic league teams to play in a state wide league.

Softball 

LCPR Dixie Softball - Girls
Lancaster Dixie Softball for all county areas. Age control date: January 1 of playing year. Tennis Courts
Six court facility at Wylie Street next to the Springs Pool in Lancaster. LCPR also has two court facilities in Buford, Flat Creek, Heath Springs, Indian Land, Kershaw and Woodland Hills. Court use on first come first served basis unless a scheduled use by LCPR. One hour time limit when others are waiting.

Volleyball

Walking

Walking Outdoors
LCPR operates outdoor walking tracks at Flat Creek, a 
lighted 1/5 mile rubberized path; Heath Springs, a lighted 
1/5 mile asphalt path; Indian Land, an unlighted, 1/5 mile asphalt path; and Springdale (Lancaster), a lighted 1/3 mile asphalt path.
